Product Overview
The SML-8168D is a switch-free, USB Type-C rechargeable smart network cable tester. In addition to full remote wire mapping with the main and remote units, it supports near-end single-ended checks on RJ45 network and RJ11 telephone cables for quickly inspecting termination and connectivity within 10 cm of the connector.

Use and Safety Limits
The single-ended test covers only the 10 cm area near the connected end and cannot replace full remote wire-order and continuity testing. PoE burnout protection does not mean every energized line can be mapped normally. For an energized check, connect only the main unit; never connect the remote unit to an energized line. Charge the tester only from a 5 V / 1 A USB Type-C supply. Do not connect it to mains power, high-voltage wiring, or a circuit of unknown voltage.
