Product Overview
The SML-8168P combines full remote wire mapping, near-end RJ45/RJ11 single-ended checks, and switch-port flashing in one USB Type-C rechargeable tester. Its physical mode switch selects single-ended, cable-test, or port-flash operation, allowing technicians to check wire order and faults and quickly match a cable to its connected switch port.

Use and Safety Limits
The single-ended test covers only the 10 cm area near the connected end and cannot replace full remote wire-order and continuity testing. PoE burnout protection does not mean every energized line can be mapped normally. For an energized check, connect only the main unit; never connect the remote unit to an energized line. Charge the tester only from a 5 V / 1 A USB Type-C supply. Do not connect it to mains power, high-voltage wiring, or a circuit of unknown voltage.
