Product Overview

The SML-DS-IP+ is the professional IP+ edition of the SML-DS. In addition to the four entry network functions, it adds IP monitoring, HTTP test, LLDP, network sniffing, and broadcast monitoring for structured cabling, network maintenance, and security-network deployment.

The product image shows the general series appearance. The panel and interfaces vary by model; refer to the corresponding unit.

IP configuration is a shared setup function used by both editions and is not counted as a separate feature tier. Choose the SML-DS-IP when only the four entry network functions are required.

Use and Safety Limits

This model does not support TDR length testing or tracing 220 V in-wall or underground cables. Connect a PoE cable only to the dedicated test port; the maximum permitted test voltage is 60 V. Never connect it to mains power or an unknown high-voltage circuit. Use IP scan, HTTP, network sniffing, and broadcast monitoring only on networks where you have authorization. LLDP results depend on peer-device support and configuration.
