Product Overview

The SML-DS-IP is the entry IP edition of the SML-DS. It adds IP scan, PING, port blink, and link speed to cable tracing, remote wire mapping, PoE checking, and multi-cable tracing for structured cabling and basic network troubleshooting.

The product image shows the general series appearance. The panel and interfaces vary by model; refer to the corresponding unit.

IP configuration is a shared setup function used by both editions and is not counted as a separate feature tier. Choose the SML-DS-IP+ when the five professional diagnostics are required.

Use and Safety Limits

This model does not support TDR length testing or tracing 220 V in-wall or underground cables. Connect a PoE cable only to the dedicated test port; the maximum permitted test voltage is 60 V. Never connect it to mains power or an unknown high-voltage circuit. Use IP scan, PING, and port tests only on networks where you have authorization.
