Product Overview
The SML-DS-IP is the entry IP edition of the SML-DS. It adds IP scan, PING, port blink, and link speed to cable tracing, remote wire mapping, PoE checking, and multi-cable tracing for structured cabling and basic network troubleshooting.

IP configuration is a shared setup function used by both editions and is not counted as a separate feature tier. Choose the SML-DS-IP+ when the five professional diagnostics are required.

Packing and Accessories
This model includes one transmitter, one receiver, one two-core receiver head, one network-cable receiver head, one two-core alligator clip/RJ11 alligator adapter lead, one USB charging cable, one certificate, one warranty card, one manual, one work bag, and one color box. IP and network tests do not require a dedicated accessory.
Use and Safety Limits
This model does not support TDR length testing or tracing 220 V in-wall or underground cables. PoE, IP, and network tests share the same RJ45 port, and that port is for wired Ethernet cable only; the maximum permitted PoE test voltage is 60 V. Do not connect mains power, telephone lines, or lines of unknown voltage. Use IP scan, PING, and port tests only on networks that you own or are authorized to test.
