Product Overview

The SML-DSL-IP+ is the professional IP+ edition with 0.1 m-resolution TDR length testing. It reports twisted-pair length by pair and combines all nine IP/network functions with cable tracing, remote wire mapping, PoE checks, and multi-cable tracing.

IP configuration is a shared setup function used by both editions and is not counted as a separate feature tier. Choose the SML-DSL-IP when only the four entry network functions are required.

Use and Safety Limits

For length testing, the cable must be de-energized and its far end left open. This model does not support tracing 220 V in-wall or underground cables. Never connect it to mains power or an unknown high-voltage circuit. The maximum permitted PoE test voltage is 60 V. Use IP scan, HTTP, network sniffing, and broadcast monitoring only on networks where you have authorization. LLDP results depend on peer-device support and configuration.
