Product Overview
The SML-DSL-IP is the entry IP edition with 0.1 m-resolution TDR length testing. It reports twisted-pair length by pair and provides IP scan, PING, port blink, and link speed together with cable tracing, remote wire mapping, PoE checks, and multi-cable tracing.

IP configuration is a shared setup function used by both editions and is not counted as a separate feature tier. Choose the SML-DSL-IP+ when the five professional diagnostics are required.

Use and Safety Limits
For length testing, the cable must be de-energized and its far end left open. This model does not support tracing 220 V in-wall or underground cables. Never connect it to mains power or an unknown high-voltage circuit. The maximum permitted PoE test voltage is 60 V. Use IP scan, PING, and port tests only on networks where you have authorization.
