SML-DSLA Multifunction Cable Tracer
For length tests on de-energized, open-ended cables and concealed-circuit tracing up to 220 V with the specified port and accessories.

- Integrated cable tracing and 2-to-8-conductor remote wire mapping
- Measures PoE output voltage and identifies standard or non-standard power
- TDR length testing with 0.01 m resolution and a 500 m maximum range
Multifunction field tracer combining cable tracing and mapping, PoE checks, 0.01 m-resolution TDR length testing, and energized-cable tracing.
Product Overview
The SML-DSLA is designed for structured cabling, communications maintenance, security wiring inspection, and energized-line location. It combines cable tracing, remote wire mapping, PoE checks, and high-resolution TDR length testing in a transmitter-and-receiver kit, while adding in-wall and underground tracing for cables energized at 220 V or below. The receiver’s color display presents signal strength, wire map, length, and test status for efficient field diagnosis.
Typical Applications
- Locating target network cables at patch panels, switch ports, and wiring closets
- Diagnosing wire order, continuity, open, short, and crossover faults
- Checking PoE port voltage and power type
- Measuring network-cable and pair length
- Tracing telephone, two-core, coaxial, and energized in-wall or underground cables
Packing and Accessories
This model includes one transmitter, one receiver, one two-core receiver head, one network-cable receiver head, one two-core alligator clip/RJ11 alligator adapter lead, one USB charging cable, one certificate, one warranty card, one manual, one work bag, and one color box. It also includes one 220 V adapter and one 220 V alligator clip for supported energized in-wall and underground tracing.
Use and Safety Limits
Connect a PoE cable only to the shared PoE/IP/network test port; the maximum permitted test voltage is 60 V. Never connect a PoE-powered cable to the length-test port or any other port. For length testing, the cable must be de-energized and its far end left open. The coaxial port is for tracing only, not length or continuity testing. Energized-cable tracing requires the specified port and accessories and is limited to circuits at 220 V or below; never connect the tester to a 380 V circuit. Actual depth varies with wall construction, burial depth, and site interference.
