Product Overview

The SML-QTS consists of a transmitter and a receiver with a 0.96-inch LCD. It is designed for structured cabling, low-voltage maintenance, and line identification. The receiver can independently check the inserted RJ45 termination. Used together, the transmitter and receiver can trace network, telephone, or coaxial cable and perform two-ended RJ45 wire-map and continuity checks.

Single-ended testing and wire mapping display automatically. After an RJ45 plug is inserted into the shared test/wire-map port at the bottom of the receiver, no separate wire-map position or button is required. During tracing, use the displayed signal strength, buzzer rate, and sensitivity setting together. Muting the buzzer does not affect the on-screen signal-strength reading.

Package Contents

The standard package includes the transmitter, receiver, carrying pouch, color box, USB Type-C charging cable, RJ11 alligator-clip lead, and certificate/warranty card. Check the actual package after opening.

Functional and Safety Boundaries

Single-ended testing accepts RJ45 network plugs only and does not replace two-ended testing of the complete cable. RJ11 telephone cable and BNC coaxial cable are supported for tracing only. Wire-map results do not certify data rate, attenuation, crosstalk, shielding performance, or link category.

The product includes PoE port-misconnection protection intended only to reduce the risk of accidental equipment damage; it does not permit energized testing. Before connection, tracing, single-ended testing, or wire mapping, completely disconnect the cable from switches, PoE equipment, telephone equipment, and every other device or power source.
