Product Overview
The SML-TD68 is designed for structured cabling, low-voltage installation, network maintenance, and cable fault diagnosis. It combines cable length measurement, open and short fault location, wire mapping, crosstalk testing, and cable tracing. The main tester displays cable length and the distance from the tester to an open or short fault. Used with the tracing receiver and a Remote ID unit, it supports standard tracing, interference-resistant tracing, local-to-remote tests, and cable identification.
The tester works with common installation cables, including network, telephone, coaxial, electrical, video, and CCTV cables. Its cable length test range is up to 1,000 m, while standard tracing reaches up to 1.5 km; these limits apply to different functions. Receiver sensitivity can be adjusted for work around switch ports, patch panels, and dense cable bundles.

Live-Circuit Safety Boundary
The DC 60 V protection applies only to live cable tracing. It does not indicate compatibility with every PoE standard or arbitrary energized circuits. Disconnect the cable from switches, PoE equipment, and other power sources before wire mapping, length measurement, or fault location. Never connect the tester to mains wiring, power-distribution circuits, or lines of unknown voltage.
