Product Overview

The SML-TS PLUS adds near-end RJ45/RJ11 connector checks to standard tracing, anti-interference tracing, and remote wire mapping. It quickly checks termination and connectivity within 10 cm of the connected plug while retaining powered tracing, qualitative low-voltage DC level and polarity indication, ring-signal detection, and automatic work-area illumination.

Use and Safety Limits

The single-ended test covers only the 10 cm area near the connected end and cannot replace full remote wire-order and continuity testing. The line voltage must not exceed 60 V during powered tracing; perform ordinary remote cable mapping only on a de-energized line. Remote mapping through a switch port supports ordinary switches and standards-compliant PoE switches, not non-standard PoE switches that directly output 48 V. Never connect the tester to mains power, high-voltage wiring, or a circuit of unknown voltage.
