SML-MA2 Cable and Fiber Tester

Product Overview
The SML-MA2 offers the broadest cable coverage in the M Series. In addition to Ethernet tracing, continuity, wire mapping, length, and break testing, its RJ11 interface supports telephone-line tests, while an RJ11-to-BNC adapter enables coaxial cable testing.
The built-in optical power meter measures real-time power on fiber links. Its 650 nm visual fault locator provides continuous and flashing output for target-fiber identification, complete-break checks, and assistance in finding visible fault locations.

Safety and Operating Boundaries
- Never look directly into the VFL port, a connected fiber connector, or a fiber end face while the VFL is active.
- Use the matching RJ11-to-BNC adapter for coaxial tests; never force a connector into an incompatible port.
- Switch ports may be used for tracing; continuity testing does not support non-standard PoE switches. Confirm the power type before connection.
- Recall calibration parameters that match the cable under test before measuring length.
