Product Overview
The SML-MPL6 combines optical power measurement with Ethernet continuity, wire-map, length, and break testing. Its optical power meter supports six standard wavelengths, three power display modes, and storage for up to 255 records.
Ethernet testing supports M-R two-ended and Open single-ended modes. After calibration with a known cable at least 10 m long and made of the same material as the cable under test, the instrument measures up to 1200 m and assists with break location. The SML-MPL6 does not include a VFL or Bluetooth data transfer.

Safety and Operating Boundaries
- Ethernet testing supports ordinary switches and standard PoE switches, but not non-standard PoE switches.
- Recall the calibration profile matching the cable under test before measuring length.
- Clean fiber end faces and instrument optical ports before measurement, and select the correct wavelength.
- Charge only from a DC 5 V / 0.5 A supply.
