Product Overview
The SML-MPSL6 combines an optical power meter, a 650 nm visual fault locator, and full Ethernet cable testing. The optical power meter supports six standard wavelengths, linear/logarithmic/relative displays, and storage for up to 255 records. The VFL provides continuous and flashing output for fiber identification and visible-fault assistance.
Ethernet functions cover continuity, wire mapping, length, and break testing in M-R two-ended and Open single-ended modes. After calibration with a known cable made of the same material, the instrument measures up to 1200 m. This model does not provide Bluetooth data transfer.

Safety and Operating Boundaries
- Never look directly into the VFL port, a connected fiber connector, or a fiber end face while the VFL is active.
- Ethernet testing supports ordinary switches and standard PoE switches, but not non-standard PoE switches.
- Recall the calibration profile matching the cable under test before measuring length.
- Charge only from a DC 5 V / 0.5 A supply.
